Come join the “tuberlations” of Putting Your Dahlias to Bed.

My husband Norman and I, Life Members of our MBGC, are also members of the Victoria Dahlia

Society (VDS). Although we’ve been gardening for many years, our attendance in 2013 at VIU in Nanaimo for the Master Gardeners Course was inspiring. 

Regarding dahlias, at one of our VDS meetings we acquired a packet of seeds from the raffle table. One of the seeds grown stayed true, its form classified as a “single ”. Norman named it

“Gwen Redcliffe”. We are pleased that it has been registered with the American Dahlia Society. Tonight I will share our method of “Putting your Tubers to Bed”. So when the hard frost hits, its time to do the “Tuber ‘Rap Mantra”.
