Mill Bay Garden Club
Notes from the Library – Janice Rose
We have an extensive collection of books - over 250, providing information for every type of gardener. There are books on growing vegetables, perennials, bulbs, roses, wintering flowering plants to name a few. We also have information on garden design, dealing with pests and making compost. Over the years many of our books have been donated and gratefully received. Each year new books are purchased to keep the collection as up to date as possible. Many thanks go out to our club's Master Gardeners for their recommendations.
Our Library is open during our club meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Books may be signed out and must be returned at the following meeting so that other members may have the opportunity to borrow them. Older books may be signed out again, but new books can only be borrowed on a monthly basis as they are in high demand.
Your friendly librarian,
Janice

Notes from the Librarian:
Come and check out the MBGC library collection this month. Three new books have been donated by Stephanie Walters including two on growing orchids and one all about water gardens. In addition we have purchased a new book entitled “The Complete Wit and Wisdom of Norman Todd”. This delightful book has been published by the Victoria Rhododendron Society and is a must read for enthusiastic rhododendron gardeners.
